OUR POLICIES

Privacy Policy

How we handle the small amount of personal information involved when you visit or contact us.

Last updated: 4 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information is involved when you use yoursuccessshortcuts.com, why, and the rights you have. The short version: we don't use analytics, advertising or tracking, we don't have comments or accounts, and we don't sell anything. The only personal information we collect directly is through our optional newsletter. We've kept this policy short and in plain English.

Who we are

Shortcuts to Success ("we", "us", "our") is run by Success Shortcuts. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

You can contact us at:

  • Email: admin@yoursuccessshortcuts.com
  • Address: Melcombe Street, Marylebone, London, NW1 6AG, United Kingdom

What we don't do

  • We don't use analytics or tracking tools to follow how you use the site.
  • We don't show adverts or use advertising cookies.
  • We don't offer comments or user accounts
  • We don't sell, rent or trade personal information.

The information involved

Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and anything you write in your message. We use this only to read and reply to your message.

Technical information. Like every website, our hosting provider and our security and performance provider (Cloudflare) automatically process basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit. This is needed to deliver the site to your device and to protect it from attacks and abuse. We don't use this information to identify you or build a profile of you.

Please don't send us sensitive information, such as health or financial details, when you contact us.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your first name and email address, along with the date, time and IP address of your sign-up and confirmation, so we have a record of your consent. We use this only to send you emails about new guides.

We rely on your consent to send the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, and we'll stop emailing you.

Our newsletter emails may include standard tracking that tells us whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. We use this only to see which guides readers find useful.

Our lawful basis

UK data protection law requires a lawful basis for using personal information. We rely on:

  • Consent for sending our newsletter. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing.
  • Legitimate interests for replying to your messages and keeping the site secure. These are uses you'd reasonably expect, and they have minimal impact on your privacy.
  • Legal obligation where we need to keep or share information to comply with the law.

Who we share it with

We only share information with service providers that help us run the site:

  • Our web hosting provider, which stores and serves the site
  • Cloudflare, which helps deliver the site quickly and protect it from attacks
  • Our email service providers, which handle messages sent to and from our email address

These providers may only use the information to provide their services to us. We may also share information if required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

International transfers

Some of our providers, including Cloudflare, may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and deleted within 2 years unless there's a reason to keep them longer.
  • Technical logs are kept by our providers for short periods in line with their own policies.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct information that's wrong or incomplete
  • Ask us to delete your information
  • Ask us to restrict how we use your information
  • Object to us using your information based on legitimate interests

To use any of these rights, email admin@yoursuccessshortcuts.com. We'll respond within one month. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Links to other websites

Our guides sometimes link to other websites. We're not responsible for how those sites handle your information, so please read their privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

If we ever add analytics, sign-up forms or anything else that involves personal information, we'll update this policy first. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
